Water Polo Competitions
Exciting play was seen at the Wellington water polo championship'competitions at the To Aro Baths last night, AH'the matches, particularly that in the senior grade, were strongly contested. In the senior grade, Lyall Bay drew with University, the score being one goal each. Coyle scored for University, and J. C. Blakeley netted for Lyall Bay. University showed greatly improved form, and had slightly the better of the game. Mr. A. Somervill was referee.
In the B grade, Lyall Bay beat Island Bay by three goals to nil, the scorers being J. Williams (2) and Rex (1). Mr. A. Somervill was referee. Worser Bay beat Wellington by two goals to one, the scorers being C. Jones and W. Hepburn for’Worser Bay and McLean for Wellington.- Mr. F. Adams was referee.
