4 British Women Golfers REVOLUTIONARY STEP? (Received January 29, 7.20 p.m.) F London, January 28. The “Daily Telegraph” says that women golfers tire taking a revolutionary step • regarding the vexed question of amateur status. The Surrey Association is moving at the next meeting of the Ladies’ Golf Union to delete the word “amateur” from the conditions of events the union controls.
