Another field of enterprise hitherto almost exclusively limited to the male sex is about to be invaded by woman, states the Christchurch “Sun.” The executive of the Canterbury Ladies’ Cricket Association recently discussed whether girls could sell more programmes at a cricket match than boys; and nearly all the girls present seemed to think that they could. In the discussion, it was mentioned that the sale of programmes by girls would mean more profit to the association, and it was finally decided to give the sex the chance to prove its worth in this direction.
