ODDFELLOWS ORDER
Lodge Meetings Bro. Wickens presided at a meeting of Loyal Britannia Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., on January 21. The Noble Grand reported on an official visit to Loyal Newtown Lodge, and also intimated the intention of the officers of Loyal Britannia Lodge to visit all lodges in the district during this term. Bros. Brown and Gooding were nominated for delegates to the biennial movable conference, and Bro.- C. O. Jorgensen for the position of assistant district auditor. An interesting report was given by Bro. Stewart relative to the Friendly Societies’ Dispensary. Loyal Petone Lodge (Moera Branch). —Sister E. Copeland presided oyer a good attendance in St. Paul’s Schoolroom, Lower Hutt. At the conclusion of business Bro. G. D. Gilbertson was presented with a past grand’s collar, for which he expressed his appreciation. Bro. G. A. Westbrook also thanked the lodge for the presentation of a purple collar, this having been received by him on behalf of the lodge at the time he was advanced to the purple degree. Lorige honours were accorded visitors from the parent lodge, Bro. R. Foote thanking the branch for their hospitality, and invited members to a card tournament being held at Loyal Petone Lodge. At the'close of the meeting members and visitors enjoyed games of cards, ping-pong and indoor bowls. Loyal Combination Lodge.—The fortnightly meeting of the lodge was held at Johnsonville, when Bro. F. A. Davis presided. Nominations were received for district officers, and Bro. W. P. Holt, P.G., was elected as- delegate to the forthcoming district conference.
