4 Australia’s Weather Troubles HAVOC AT CLONCURRY Brisbane, January 26. A Dumber of persons narrowly escaped death and many thousands of pounds worth of damage was done by a storm which struck Cloncurry last eight. The storm, which was the most disastrous in the town’s history, eomp!e‘ely wrecked some homes and badly damaged others. At the height of the storm the phenomenon of wind. bail, oust and heavy rainstorms raging simultaneously occurred. Trees, telegraph and telephone wires are down in all directions. Six people were taken to hosnital.
