Germany’s latest barter arrangements include an exchange of articles manufactured in Austria for 1000 trucks of Argentine wheat, German rails, engines and the carriages for Greek dried fruits and oil. Persia is arranging to import German motor-cars against carpets, while Egypt is negotiating to exchange oranges for German coal. Some German newspapers now make a regular feature of barter advertisements.
