Assets and Liabilities LAST WEEK’S POSITION The twenty-fifth weekly statement of assets and liabilities of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as at close of business on Monday, January 21. 1935. is as follows:

Sterling exchange has been further reduced by £61.208/3/1, and now stands at £21,859,433/0/5. Gold coin remains unchanged at £3,001,731. There is an increase of £101.381/14/8 in subsidiary coin, which now stands at £190,216 19/7. Investments at £1,960,711/14/2 show an increase of £63.048/8/5. • Other assets have increased by £2821/8/5. and now stand at £26,164/10/9. On the liabilities side the note issue at £9,570.293 shows a further decrease of £53,137. Government deposits at £7,909.758/12/6 show an increase of £346,143/13/3. and trading banks deposits at £8.002.906/15/9 are lower by <£190,807/18/1. Other demand liabilities have increased by £2516/19/7 to £5723 7/8. Other liabilities stand at £49.575 9/-. an . increase of £1327/13/8. The statement balances at £27.038,257 4/11, an increase of £106,043/8/5.
