hours. Banks was the highest scorer with 27, and he was followed by Mallard (14) and Smith (11). Bowling for Clark’s team, King captured six wickets for 53 runs. League followed on for their second innings, and scored 79 for two wickets, the principal batsmen, being Smith 22, and Melville 48 not out.
MERCANTILE LEAGUE
Grade Representative Game
All E grade v. F and G grade representative 'match was played by the Mercantile Cricket League yesterday.. The E grade team made 226 runs in its first innings (Blundell 84, Taylor 44, Phyper S 3, Mouat 29), and in the second innings lost four wickets for 138 (Murdoch 76 not out, Mouat 35). F and G grade, in the first innings, scored 157 (Guy 46. Huston 21), and in the second innings 146 (Williams 47, Huntingdon 44). Bowling for E grade Blundell took three wickets for 18 runs and four for 46; Richardson, three for 28 and two for 18. Bowling for F and G grade, Huston took two for 10 and one for 12, and Kemp two for 35. KILBIRNIE MATCHES. In a Kilbirnie Cricket Club match, at the Kilbirnie Recreation Ground yesterday. the Junior D team lost to The Rost by' 26 runs. The Rest made 155 runs (Nash 36, Doherty 21, Evans 21), and the Junior I> team responded with 129 (Allan 29, Whiterod 20). Some excellent bowling performances were registered by both sides. For The Rest Allan took tix wickets for 41 runs, and Watson three for 26. and for Junior D, Flanagan took six wickets for 26 runs, and Vicks three for 17. Playing nt Kilbirnie Recreation Ground yesterday, the Yorkshire Society beat an eleven from the Kilbirnie Cricket Club. The Yorkshiremeu knocked up 241 (Halstead retired 104. Caisley 43, Askew 41 Smith 21). and Kilbirnie scored 158 (Minifie 82),
