AGREEMENT REACHED
Italy and Abyssinia DIRECT NEGOTIATIONS (Brittsn Official Wireless.) Rugby, January 19. At a private meeting of the Council! of the League of Nations at Geneva!: letters to the Secretary-General of the, League from both parties to the dis-’ ’ pute between Italy and Abyssinia werai read. The letters revealed that ari| agreement to continue negotiations bydirect exchange had been reached. Geneva reports that a state of agreement in the Italo-Abyssinian dispute l was reached this morning. The announcement followed an important meeting between M. Laval, French Foreign Minister, Mr. Anthony Eden and Baron Aloisi. IRAQ AND PERSIA Geneva Negotiations (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, January 19. Negotiations for the settlement of the dispute between Iraq and Persia were still proceeding this evening at Geneva.
