4 Prices Generally Lower (Received January 21, 10.55 p.m.) Sydney, January 21. At the wool sales, 11,745 bales were offered and 10,395 sold, 614 privately. There was good general competition, and prices for all free and well-grown descriptions were fairly well maintained, but with this exception rhe market was five per cent, below the closing levels of last week. Greasy merino made, IGJd. The average price of wool last week was £l2/8/8 a bale, equal to 9.7 d. a pound.
