The Brian Boru Dredge return for the week eliding January 19 was 220 z. 6dwt. for 159 hours, the yardage treated being 22,000. Operations at Waihi The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Co., Ltd.: — Surface: In the deviation crosscut from the school drive at 93ft. in have intersected quartz 4ft. wide, assaying 3/9 a ton. The course is 83 degrees and dip 3 in 8 south. No. 5 level: The prospecting crosscut at 800 ft. west on the Martha lode is now out 365 ft. north-west. There are occasional stringers of quartz, the country rock being N’o. 6 level: North branch of Martha lode: A winze is being sunk at 216 ft. west. . No. 12 level.
