MERCANTILE CRICKET
Anniversary Day Games At this week’s meeting of the Wellington Mercantile Cricket League, presided over by the deputy-chairman, Mr. E. Casey, ariangements in connection with the Anniversary Day games were completed. Mr, E. Martin was appointed manager of the Mercantile representative team which is to play the Cricket Association juniors at the Basin Reserve. The hours of play for the representative match were fixed, play to commence at 10.30 a.m. with the luncheon interval from 1 to 1.45 p.nt. In the inter-grade games at Athletic Park, play will commence at 10 a.m. The captains of the respective teams, Messrs. C. Murphy (A grade), N. Aldridge (B grade), C. Aamodt (C grade), E. Osborn (D grade), Milgate (E grade), and W. Huston (combined F and G grade) will act in the capacity of managers. An application for the registration of a new player was referred back to the club concerned with a request for further information on the matter. ' On receipt of that information the matter is to be dealt with by the transfers committee.
