CROQUET TOURNEY
4 North Island Championship Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, January 4. The North Islaud, croquet championship tournament was continued to-duy in fine weather on the Wanganui and Gonville club’s lawns, which were in good order after the rain yesterday. In the women’s championship the first round of the first life and first round of the second life are almost completed. The handicap singles have reached the fourth round in both sections, and the handicap doubles are almost to the semi-finals. The championship doubles will start to-mor-row.
No outstanding play has yet been seen at the tournament.
