SUMMER FLOWER SHOW

The first suburban flower show of 1935 in the Wellington South Horticultural Society’s district will be held on Wednesday, January 16, at St. Thomas's Hall, Riddiford Street, Newtown. This summer show is generally one well supported by the gardeners and others, as the schedule is comprehensive and the prizes are liberal.

Among the trophies is the McLean Cup for roses, and for carnations the VtindeVivian Cup. Gladioli is allotted the Bilby Challenge Trophy. Pansies also have a trophy and vegetables two —namely, the Philp Memorial Challenge Trophy and Mr. R. N. Wall’s special.. There are a number of cash prizes for every section. The ladies’ and tbildren’s sections are also a feature ns there are special classes for them. Schedules can be obtained at all florists and from the secretary, 279 Rintoul Street.
