BIG GAME SEASON

The first big game fish—a mako shark of 462 pounds—brouglit into Otehei Bay,, Bay of Islands, this season was caught off Cape Brett on the last day of the old year by Mr. Otto Sommer, Germany. The fish gave a wonderful display, broaching six tinirf. It took two hours to laud. On the same day Mr. S. Humphries hooked a mako which bit through the line and got away.
