MISSING FISHERMEN
UNSUCCESSFUL SEARCH. By Telegraph.—press association. Gisborne, February 29. A message from Tokoniaru Bay states that the Harbour Board’s vessel Wainia has been searching yesterday and to-day for the missing fishing launch containing Clyde Doig and Temoanui. A message has been sent to places on the coast north and south requesting that a careful watch be kept, though it is feared that the launch could hardly have weathered yesterday’s gale Up till tonight no news had been received of the missing men.
