Sutton intend leaving this week for a tour of the South Island. Air. W. G. White and "Miss Gladys White, Hawera, have returned from a two years’ tour abroad. Airs. B. AlcCarthy and Mrs. E. Alorrissey have left for Greymouth, where they will attend the jubilee celebrations. ' ‘

Aliss Olga Lizard has left for Wellington, where she intends to reside.. Mrs. Cullen, Hataitai, Wellington, is visiting Hawera, where she is the guest of her son, Rev. Father Frank Cullen Air. N. R. Polson and Arthur Harrop returned last week from a fishing trip to Lake Taupo. , , , Air. F. Gillanders has left on a short trip to the South. Mr. R. Liverton, Wairarapa, is at present visiting Hawera. Airs. A. E. Mabin aud Aliss Mabin, Wellington, are on a visit to Hawera. Mr. E. H. Patton, of the Hawera Post Office staff, has received notice of his transfer to Nelson. _ _ The Rev. E. S. Emmett, of Kilbirtiie, Wellington, has been appointed to succeed the Rev. W. T. Oxbrow, in charge of the Alethodist Church, at Hawera.
