EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD CRIME. By Telegraph.—Press association. Auckland, February 10. John Sullivan, alias Joseph O’Keefe (aged 48), at present serving seven years’ imprisonment for manslaughter, was committed for trial this morning for an eighteen-year-old crime. He pleaded not guilty to stealing at Kinahakau in January. 1910. a black gelding and harness of a total value of £lO ss. It was alleged that accused hired the horse to attend a Court case at KawhiA and that he later sold the animal, the owner seeing no more of Sullivan until he identified him in Court to-day.
