SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION

The monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union was held <n Thursday evening Mr. AV. E. Howe, president, was in the chair, and seventeen delegates were present. The Convention Committee reported that arrangements wore well forward in regard to the teachers’ camp at Lower Hutt during Easter. A letter was received Hating that Dr. Poole, president of the World 8 Sunday School Association, and Sir Edward Sharp, one of the vice-presidents of the London Sunday School Union, would he in Wellington for several days in June, being on their way to the World’s Sunday School Convention at Los Angeles. It was hoped to arrange one or more meetings of teachers to be addressed by Dr. Poole during his presence' in Wellington. Mr. Howe reported that a liberal response had been made to Ills appeal for books, toys, etc., for distribution io the children in the back-blocks Sunday schools. He had been abie to send a total of 992 articles altogether. Officers for 1928 were elected as follow: President. Mr. W E. Howe; neepresidents, Rev. C. H. Olds, 8.A., Messrs. H AV Kersley and J. AV. Thompson; secretary Mr. 11. J. Thompson; treasurer, Mr W. G. Holdsworth; visitors, Miss Oldfield and Mr. Alex. Johnston; auditor, Mr. Robert Tait.
