NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL MEETING. The monthly meeting of the New Zealand Golf Association Council was held on Monday, when there were present Messrs. W. E. A. Gill (chairman), Sir Alexander Roberts (vice-chairman), and Messrs. A. D. S. Duncan, A. J. Abbott, and W. A. Kiely. The United States Golf Association also referred to another grass, ngrostis niarilim.i. which they said was giving excellent results in California, and thev suggested that it might be worth while to try if in Now Zealand Entries for tho professionals’ autumn tournament at Tinmru on February 22. 2.1. and 2-1. close with the seeretarv of tho Timaru Golf Club on February 11. Tt was resolved to renew John Lambic's association professional engagement for n further period of twelve months from March 1 next. Tim Now Plvmeiilh Golf Club advised that tho dates of their Easier tonrimmerit are Anril 7. 9, and 10. and *h° Hastings Golf Club wrote r.dvising that tho dales for their nniiunl tournament are June 2. I. and 5.
