Kouerl Leonard Pickvorth, for forgery at Thames, was sentenced to three years’ reformative treatment. Maurice Chapman, who admitted forging a cheque for .£lOO, was sentenced to 12 months’ hard labour. Francis William Sweetman, aged '.'B, for bigamy, was sentenced to two 'ears’ hard labour Myra McKernan, a married woman, for obtaining money by false pretences at Wliangarei. was admitted to probation for thre’ years, on condition that £+o was repaid' bv instalments.
