Carterton, December 2. At a meeting of tlie Wairarapa Lawn Tenuis Association, at Carterton, last evening, it was decided that the first round of the inter-club competitions for the Gawth Shield be played by January 15, tbe second round by February 5, and the final by February 19. In tlie event of wet weather the day’s fixtures are to be played the following Saturday. The draw was arranged as follow First round: Memorial Chib, a bye; Park v. Mangapakeha, at Park; Mastertou v. Carterton, at Masterton; Martinborough, a bye. Second round; Martinborough plays winner of Park v. Mangapakeha; Memorial plavs winner of Masterton v. Carterton, at Memorial The venue of the final is to be decided later Arrangements are to be made for the use of the Masterton courts for the match with Hawke’s Bay on Saturday.
