ITALY’S NEW LAW
ENFORCED DOMICILE FOR ANTI-FASCISTS (Rcc. December 1, 7.55 p.m.) Rome, November 30. Under the new law 522 persons, convicted by special provincial commissions of anti-Fascist activities, have been sentenced to enforced domicile, meaning removal from their customary residence to a place assigned for periods ranging from one to five years, under strict supervision. Those unable to earn a livelihood will receive ten lire daily. Signor Mussolini is elaborating new laws under which the words master and servant will be abolished, and workers will be protected as well as industrialists, but will have duties as well as rights.
