BUSH FIRES
GREAT DAMAGE DONE IN NEW SOUTH WALES Sydney, December 1. Bush fires continue to rage in many parts of the State, and are taking toll of crops and valuable fodder. Telephone communication with some places on the North Coast is cut off. Around Armidale the farmers are having an anxious time, and big outbreaks have been subdued only after hours of hard fighting. At Casino, a sawmill valued at £5OOO was destroyed.
