PACIFIC CABLE BOARD
REORGANISATION SCHEME (Rec. .November 30, 8.15 p.m.) London, November 30. It is authoritatively stated that the reorganisation scheme for the Pacific Cable Board is dependent upon coordinating legislation being adopted by Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Meanwhile the board is considering the raising of the proposed new manager’s salary considerably above the authorised IlOOli a year, to enable him to v’ 't Canada, /Australia, and New Zealand at least once a year.
[The reorganisation scheme provides for the British representation on a board of seven being reduced from three ■to two. The board appoints a chairman by 'a majority vote, the term of office being for three years.}
