FAR FROM HOME
A MILK BOTTLE’S ADVENTURE. It is a long way from the Wellington City Council’s milk depot to portion of the American continent, but according to an experience related by Mrs. C. W. Earle at a gathering of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Wellington Reform League last night, the distance is not as far as it seems. The. milk supply system on the other side is similar to that in existence locally. Mrs. Earle examined one bottle she received and found this inscription on one side: “This bottle must be cleansed and returned.;’ On the other side was written: "This bottle always remains the property of the Wellington Citv Council!” “I used the bottle, added the speaker, and changed it the next day, and someone else has tne 'property of the Wellington City Council’ now.” (Laughter.).
