IMPOSITION OF EMBARGO URGED
By Telegraph.—press association. Ashburton, November 29. A deputation from the Mid-Canter-bury Executive of the Farmers’ Union waited on the Hon. W. D. Stewart, the Acting-Prime Minister, when the latter was on his way to Wellington, urging the imposition of a further embargo on the importation of wheat and flour. The Minister promised to consult Cabinet.
