New York. November 24

A sensational double murder of Prohibition officers occurred at San Francisco. The two officers, George Wentworth and Daniel Mangin, seized the launch of Burril Morris on a charge that it allegedly contained a cargo of liquor. They were taking Morris to prison when he drew a revolver and shot both of the officers dead. He then escaped.
