PROFESSOR’S HOUSE SHOT AT
STRANGE AFFAIR AT CHESTER SQUARE.
(Rec. November 25, 7,50 p.m.) London, November 25
Professor W. A. Hewins, well known in connection with economic, subjects, was sitting with his wife in the diningroom of their house in Chester-Square when a revolver was fired at the house. The bullet, deflected by an iron railing went through the basement kitchen window. Tiie professor rushed to the front door and saw a woman disappearing. He says they have no enemies so far as they know. His wife heard firing in the square during the night a week ago. The police insist on protection being provided night and day.
