CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE SATISFACTION.
The following motion was unanimously carried at the annual conference yesterday of the Associated Chambers ot Commerce of New Zealand That this conference records its satisfaction at the progressive movement of the daily farmers in herd testing,. resulting m an improved average yield per cow, believing that this is a thoroughly practical method of increasing production, thus contributing to the prosperity of the Dominion. “The conference heartily supports the request for a Government subsidy towards this end, provided that an equitable basis of distribution of any such grant is determined, whereby the benefit of the subsidy will reach all farmers who effectively apply the principles of herd-testing and culling.”
