GEORGE HART DIES AS RESULT OE FALL.

There was a tragic termination to the Northern Counties’ boxing championship at Hull. George Hart, aged 17 years, who was the English schoolboy champion in 19'23, while boxing with the world’s schoolboy champion, received an uppercut on the point which caused Hart to fall. He was carried out unconscious. During a later bout it was announced that he had died. The audience left the hall with bared heads.
