Christchurch, November 23. The second hearing was concluded to-dav in the Supreme Court, before Mr. justice Stringer, of the case m which Harold Arthur Thorne, farm labourer, ot Hororata, claimed from Tack Olliver, farmer, of Hororata, damages amounting to £962 Xis. 6d. as the result of a collision between a motorcycle driven by Thorne and a motorcar driven bv Olliver, near Hororata, on March 21,'1925. The jury found that defendant was guilty of negjigent driving ami awarded Thorne £5-16 16s. fid. damages. Costs were awarded against Olliver for both the present and the previous hearing in August, when the jury failed to agree.
