BANKING CONDITIONS NOT OBSERVED The Education Department has. been informed that public funds held by some school committees ale being de nosited with trading and finance companies. It is stated that as these funds are in the nature of trust funds they are subject to the trustee Act, 1908 rind should be deposited only with banks or the Post Office Savings Bank. Education boards are therefore being asked to take steps to.ensure that these conditions are observed by all committees in the respective education districts. > .
