EARTH TREMORS
MORRINSVILLE FURTHER ALARMED HEAVY SLEEPERS AROUSED Dominion Special. Auckland, November 15. Several more earth tremors were felt at Morrinsville last night a few minutes before 10 o’clock. Early this morning there were three short shocks which aroused the most heavy sleepers. The third-shock, at 5.45 a.m., was preceded by a heavy rumble, and ended with a sharp jolt. By 'l ei lor a ph.-Press Association Hamilton, November 15. Morrinsville has been further disturbed by earthquakes. Shocks occurred on Sunday at 7, 7.20, and 10.30 a.m., and at 3 p.nj. Some people are sleeping out- of doors, ami brick buildings have been vacated. The walls of several buildings showed signs of collapse. It is estimated that 50 or GO chimneys were damaged or broken by Friday’s earthquake. The residents were alarmed on Saturday night, and few slept. Three more slight tremors were felt at Morrinsville this morning, and one at Hamilton, but no damage was done.
