TRAIN DELAYED AT HUTT
ELECTRIC SIGNALS OUT Ob' GEAR. Boisterous weather conditions caused defects in the electrical signalling system between Lower Hutt and Haywards on Saturday morning, with the result that the outward-bound Napier express was delayed for some minutes at the Lower Hutt. Although some minor disorganisation of up and down traffic was also caused, there were no serious delays, the faults being adjusted well before midday
