DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE

Dominion Special. Dunedin, November 13. John McDermott, a widower, aged 74 years, who resided by himself at 424 ICing Street, was found dead <n the floor of his kitchen this morning. A postman saw the body through the window, and immediately reported the fact to the police. An examination of the body showed the deceased had been dead about 12 hours, and at an inquest held in the evening, with Mr J. B. Bartholomew, S.M., sitting as Coroner, a verdict was brought in that death was due to heart failure consequent on degeneration of the heart muscles.
