COMBINED COLLEGE SPORTS TO-DAY

Much interest is being taken in the combined college sports, which takes place at the Athletic Park to day. On account of the number of events a Mart will be made at 10.30 in the morning, but the most important races will be decided in the afternoon, between -.15 aud 5. There are three grades of competition—junior (under 141 years), intermediate (under 161 years), and senior (under 20 years). The college gaining most championship points: first, three points; second, two points- and third. one point, will hold the McEvedy Cha lenge Shield throughout the year. It el lington College have entered a very strong team, but St. Patricks College and Wairarapa High School have also some excellent representatives, and the competition for the shield is expected to be very keen. Wellington College, St. Patrick’s College and the Wairarapa Hi"h School ore the most fancied for the shield. The championship shield aud medals will be presented immediately after the last event.
