“MAKE HASTE SLOWLY’
DAIRY CONTROI.. "As forecasted in our report for last year” (says the annual report of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, to be submitted to members on Wednesday), "the operations of the Dairy Control Board have been followed by dairy producers and merchants throughout the world with tho greatest interest. During the year they sent a delegation abroad to thoroughly investigate the matter of production and chiefly that of marketing. This delegation has returned to Now Zealand and presented a report, and the result has been that they have now declared for "absolute control” of dairy produce. The opinion of the chambers of commerce throughout New Zealand is- that the board has not acted wisely in rushing so quickly into taking such drastic steps in the marketing of the dairy produce of New Zealand. The board, however, has decided to carry on in the face of these protests, and is tnfiing neeesssjav measures to bring in "absolute control ns from August, 1926. The opinion generally of commercial interests is that the board would have been well advised to "make haste slowly.
