PARTY ON YACHT VIKING.
Concern was expressed in some quart*' ers yesterday when it was reported', that no news had lieen received up to 1 , n.in. about the yacht Viking, winch it - was alleged left Evans Bay for Picton at' 10 a.m. on Sunday, and was expected to ; reach its destination between 5 and fl . p.m. Last night the Central , Police Station received from ths constable at Picton a message to the ef- . feet that the Viking was reported as having entered the fkiunds that evening. The Viking, it transpires, left Evans Bay at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday morning, but did not go further . than Island Bay. She only left Island > Bay at 3 p.m. yesterday, and was in the ‘ Sounds at 6.30. The little, craft is owned ? bv Mr. Charles Headland, of Kilbirme, - who made the trip in the company of six friends, Messrs, G. and A. Headland, I Wanden. J. Island, W. Williams, and. Miss Price.
