GERMAN GUNS
LARGE NUMBER OF HOWITZERS DISCOVERED
ANOTHER BREACH OF TREATY
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright
London, December,26.
The Berlin correspondent of “The Times” states that the Allied Commission has discovered 247 more howitzers concealed at the Roekstroh works, near Dresden. These, added to 342 found in November, total seven times the number which the Versailles Treaty permitted for the whole German Army. Tho account adds picturesque details of the manner the partners in the firm camouflaged a. miniature arSenal as a ladies’ lavatory, and then made a great display of compunction over the first revelation, for the purpose of throwing the scent off the second plant.—“ The Times.”
