A telegram from Berlin states that there is good authority for believing that M. Briand and Mr. Lloyd George have agreed regarding Germany’s payments. Instead of yearly payments of two thousand million marks, Germany will pay five hundred million, and tax her exports for the remainder. Britain will accept the Wiesbaden, terms, on. condition that France accepts the new proposals for the stabilisation of tho value of the mark. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.h FRANCO-BRITISH~ENTENTE COMPLETE . NO QUESTION OF REVISING W.RSAILLES TREATY. Paris, December 25. M. Briand, replying in the Chamber of Deputies to a questioner, emphatically said that the Franco-British Entente was complete, and consolidated as far as was possible. He declared that there was no question of revising the Treaty of Versailles or of recasting the conditions of payment of reparations at the forthcoming conference. He declared that Mr. Lloyd George had never thought of impairing French interests.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
