CATERING FOR OVERSEAS BUSINESS.

As illustrating the readiness of British Anns to cater for overseas trade, the following particulars, based on information received by His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner, are of interest, regarding the formation by the British Cycle and Motor Cycle Manufacturers and Traders Union, Ltd., of the “Union of the- Overseas Motor Cycle and Cycle Traders Centre,” at The Towers, Warwick Road, Coventry. This contro has been established tor the benefit of overseas traders visi-ing tho United Kingdom for the purpose of doing business in tho products of the British motor cycle and cyclo trades. It is hoped that intending visitors will re«ard the centre in the nature of a. club and information bureau, and will communicate with the manager of the centre with regard to their pending visits, in order that steps may be taken to obtain hotel accommodation, insert notices m trade journals, or take any other steps that may be required. During hi. 9 stay in. the United; Kingdom, the visitor may have his correspondence sent to the centre and instructions for copies of cables to be forwarded to him during his journeys. The offices of the centre are available for holding appointments, the services of shorthand-typists may be obtained without charge, stationery is provided free, and duplicate copies of all correspondence will be filed in a. private file, ’.o betaken away at the termination of the visit. Introductions to members of the trade will bo arranged, and technical journals, catalogues and other trade li--f-rature, will be available for inspection. In addition the co-operation of the association of British Motor Manufacturers has been obtained, for the purpose of assisting visitors wishing io tour the provinces or the Continent of Europe, with such matters as railway and hotel accommodation, formalities in connection with the import, export, and use of private cars, e’-c.
