Two Chinese, Ah Pong and Ming Yin, were charged at the Police Court, to-day with having opium in their possessionin a form suitable for smoking. Wong Hung, the proprietor of the premises, was charged with permitting opium smoking. ... All thy articles found on the premises were his. • The Magistrate said he was satisfied Pong was dealing in opium as well as being addicted to the drug. He was fined £5(l in default three months imprisonment. Decision regarding Wons Hung was reserved. The ease against Ming Yin was dismissed.
