TRIAL OF LANDRU
PROSECUTION CLOSES CASE. (Rec. November 27, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, November 26. Tho prosecution at tho Landru trial has closed its case. Anatomists gave evidence in connection with at least three distinct bodies, as three skulls, five feet, and six hands had 'been found. Ono person was tall and had good teeth while another was short with bad teeth. Landru’s counsel ironically asked one expert if he would add tho colour of the woman’s hair. , Landru protested that he had not been shown bones when discovered. M Legasse, representing tho relatives of one dead woman, jumped up and cried angrily: “You want us to show you the bodies? There they are! There was an uproar in court, Landru heatedly shouting, and the P roslt \ the public prosecutor, and two coumel all speaking together for some minutes. Landru asserted that the bones T l ' been put in the garden after he left for the defence has now commenced.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
