SITUATION IN ALBANIA
CONVOCATION OF LEAGUE COUNCIL CONTINUANCE OF FIGHTING By Telegraph—Prew Association—OopyrlgM Geneva, November 8. The General Secretary of the League of Nations has received a telegram from the British Government, signed: by Mr. Lloyd George, requesting tho convocation of the League’s Council in order to consider forthwith the Albanian situation and to draw up measures in the event of the Serbian Government either refusing to execute its engagements under the pact or postponing them. The Council will be convoked almost immediately at Geneva or Paris.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Paris, November 8. Advices from Durazzo state that fighting between the Albanians and Jugoslavs continues. The latter have occupied nearly tho whole of Upper Albania. It is reported that Alessio is also occupied, leaving Scutari isolated. Tho fall of the latter appears to bo imminent. — Aus.-N.Z.
