WATERFRONT LABOUR
GOVERNAIENT CONTEMPLATING ACTION. Brief but interesting reference was made to the question of waterfront labour at yesterday’s meeting of the Dominion Executive of tho New- Zealand Farmers’ Union, when a reply w*as received from the Minister of Labour (the lion. G. J. Anderson), traversing tho resolution of tho last annual conference asking tho executive to confer with the Government on the subject. The Alinister’ wrote, stating that the question of waterfront la'bour had foi some time past been engaging his close attention, and ho hoped to be able to submit certain nroposals on the subject to Parliament for consideration during tho coming session. Tho executive decided to form o depufation to the Afinister on the subject, Captain !■’. Colbeck (Dominion vice-presi-dent) to bo the spokesman.
