ALLIED DEBTS TO AMERICA
SWEEPING AUTHORITY TO SECRETARY OF TREASURY. (Rec. August 21, 11.5 p.m.) Washington, April 20. The Senate Finance Committee has favourably reported on the Administration Bill providing for the refunding of the Allied debts within five years. Ths measure gives the Secretary of the Ireasury sweeping authority to refund or extend the time for the payment ot principal or interest.—Aus.-N.Z. Crble Assn.
