WAR MATERIAL FROM BRITAIN. (Rec. August 19, 10.5 p.m.) London, August 18. It le reported that four British vessels have reached Melilla, In Morocco, carrying British war material for SpainReuter. London, August Is. There were remarkable scenes at the Spanish Consulate in Bloomsbury, where thousands of unemployed assembled seeking to enlist in the Spanish Foreign Legion. The men, angry at the delay in gaining admission to the Consulate, looked as if they were about to storm the building, and tho were compelled to disperse them. The Consul, agitated over the rush, accepted only ten men. No married men Were taken.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
