STRIKES AT NEWCASTLE
STEEL WORKS LOSE MUCH TIME. Sydney, August 19. Mr. Kelly, chairman of directors of the Newcastle Steel Works, at tho annual meeting of the company, stated that owing to strikes the works were idle for 98 weeks in six years, or 30 per cent, of the total time.—Press Assn.
