UNION IGNORES CONCILIATION COUNCIL. Hr Telegraph— Press Association. Reefton, August 16. The Conciliation Council met at Reefton this morning to deal with the coal dispute. There was no. appearance of the union’s assessors, and tho matter was referred to the Arbitration Court. Mr. Newton, Commissioner, expressed regret at the union’s decision not to be represented. He hoped that in u ehort time they would take a different vieW.
